Wirral schoolboy cuts off hair after raising £1,100 to help children suffering with cancer A WIRRAL schoolboy has raised £1,100 after cutting off his hair for children’s charity the Little Princess Trust. Oscar Minton, 8, from Bebington was known for his luscious locks but came home from school one day and told his mum Rebecca that he wanted to chop his hair for 'poorly children'. Christopher Millea hair in Oxton cut 14 inches of Oscar’s hair so he could help children who need it most. The Little Princess Trust is a children’s cancer charity which provides real hair wigs to children suffering with cancer for the duration of their treatment.   The charity also assists children with other conditions which also result in hair loss such as alopecia. Oscar's mum Rebecca told the Globe: “We haven’t got a clue where he got the idea from to cut his hair. “He just wanted to do it to help others and was totally dedicated to it. “He said that his hair will grow again but children who are ill can’t grow their own back. “We’re so proud of our son, he's damaged dry hair solutions known for his gorgeous hair and he's decided to wants to cut it and make it into a wig for poorly kids and get sponsored to do so. “I’m heartbroken his locks have gone but it is for an amazing cause and I’m just so proud he’s made this decision.
